About Me

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Hillsdale College.

I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, in 2011 with studies in Psychology, Mathematics, and Chinese. I enjoyed all of these disciplines but especially my studies of Math, and so to continue these studies I enrolled in graduate school at the University of Iowa in the fall of 2011 and graduated with my Ph.D. in 2016.

When I am not studying math, I can be found reading books of all sorts, going on walks around Oberlin, and when the weather is right, I enjoy swimming and boating. I am also a Sporcle wizard. Can you beat my time of 4 minutes and 11 seconds naming all of the countries of the world?

I also enjoy traveling both with my friends and family. In particular, I enjoy traveling to national parks around the United States. My favorite parks include Yellowstone, Big Bend, and Glacier National Park.
